What Can I Do?
There are a number of treatments for
sleep apnea. Some involve surgery and some don’t. Depending on the situation and the severity of the disease can
help determine which of these treatments would be best in each situation.
Change Your Behavior
In some situations behavioral changes can be all that is needed to overcome the symptoms of
sleep apnea.
-
Losing weight can make a big difference. Even a 10 percent reduction can reduce the
occurrence of sleep apnea.
-
Avoiding caffeine, alcohol and sedatives have proven an effective means of helping
apnea sufferers.
-
Changing ones sleeping habits by changing the position in which a person sleeps
can sometimes make all the difference.
But if none of those works then it is time to consult a physician.
